Controlled pressure, blade angle, and overlap remove the variability of manual skim coating and drastically reduce rework on large projects.
Mounted on the BOTPLANNERL5 cascade elevator, the skimming module applies and levels drywall compound using a blade-based end-effector. By maintaining consistent pressure, blade angle, and pass overlap, it produces a flat, uniform surface that defines the Level 5 finish and accelerates the entire finishing workflow.
The skimming module shares the same mechanical architecture as the sanding and painting modules. Only the end-effector changes, allowing the same robot to transition between finishing stages without redesigning the platform.
